Back on the 8th of March, the team of ‘Queen of the South ‘ announced that the forthcoming season, that is, season 5, would be the last and final season of Queen of the South. This series was adapted from the novel La Reina Del Sur composed by Arturo Perez-Reverte, which was aired on Telemundo. Who are the crew members involved in the Queen of the South’ Season 5?
Many of the known faces are confirmed as the crew members. All the prior cast members of the show are said to return for its final season. Of course, you will get to watch the main lead of the show, Alice Braga as Teresa Mendoza. Some of the other cast members that are confirmed to return are Pote Galvez as Hemky Madera, James Valdez as Peter Gadiot and Alonzo Loya as Nick Sagar. Unfortunately, you won’t get to watch the acting of Tony Parra as Julian Silva, as he was killed during the explosion that happened in the previous season.
What is the plot of the Queen of the South’ Season 5?
With the official confirmation of the fifth season, viewers are getting excited to know more and more about the forthcoming season. A total of ten episodes are finalized for the forthcoming season. According to the official plot information, the Queen of the South is back to relaunch her empire. Furthermore, Teresa is going to meet a crew of Russians. It would be interesting to watch how Teresa will help James after she sees her injured. Once we get to watch an official trailer, we can expect more turning points.

The initial season of ‘Queen of the South’ hit Netflix on the 9th of May, 2017. The next year marked the release of another hit season on the 22nd of May, 2018. On the 7th of May 2019, viewers got to watch the third season, and season 4 hit Netflix on the 6th of June, 2020.
Season 5 was set to release way before, but as the pandemic happened, we had to wait longer for the follow-up season. Now it’s confirmed that the last and final season will air on Netflix somewhere in early 2022. To get you more curious, Netflix has released a short trailer.
