India is all set to host a public security counsel (NSA) position indigenous conference on Wednesday in New Delhi on Afghanistan. The dialogue to be held at the position of National Security Advisers/ Registers of Security Councils and will be chaired by National Security Adviser Ajit Doval.
According to the ministry of external affairs, this National Security Counsels’ position dialogue on Afghanistan will witness expanded participation of Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, who’ll all be represented by their separate National Security Advisers or Registers of the Security Councils.
China has reportedly said that it’ll not be suitable to attend the dialogue due to scheduling issues. Specially, Pakistan was before reported to have declined the assignation to the indigenous countries’NSA- position meeting being hosted by India.
Officers revealed there has been an inviting response to India’s assignation and said the high- position participation in the match is reflective of” wide and growing concern of indigenous countries about the situation in Afghanistan and their desire to consult and coordinate with each other wherein India has an important part to play in this process”, according to IANS.
This is the first time that nearly all countries of Central Asia will be sharing in this match.
Why do NSA- position addresses on Afghanistan hold significance?
The high- position dialogue will concentrate on assessing the security situation in the region on the reverse of recent developments in Afghanistan. Officers will meditate upon measures to address the applicable security challenges and support the people of Afghanistan in promoting peace, security, and stability.
The first two editions of the Dialogue were hosted by Iran in 2018 and 2019.
