Protests In Paris After Emmanuel Macron's Election Win, Cops Use Teargas

PARIS: The riot police accused and sprayed tears at the demonstrators at the Paris center of protesting after President Emmanuel Macron was re -elected on Sunday, recording from social media showed.

The police tried to break the crowd of most young people who had gathered in the central chatelet environment to protest, pictures on Twitter showed.

Macron defeated a leader who far to Le Pen in the voting of runoff on Sunday by winning the term the second five years and preventing what would be the main politics.

Although Macron wins with a comfortable margin, the level of abstinence is expected to settle at the highest since 1969, with most voters who do not want to choose Macron or Le Pen.

Between the first round of the voting and runoff on Sunday, students protested outside the sorbonne in Paris and other universities, expressed their disappointment with the choices offered.
