Video: Plane Taking Off From Peru Airport Hits Fire Truck, Bursts Into Flame

A LATAM Airlines aeroplanetaking off from the field in Peru’s capital Lima struck a firetruck on the runway and caught fire on Friday. In a social media post, the authorities said that aeroplanes passengers and crew were each safe, but two firefighters in the truck were killed in the accident.

Several vids of the collision between the aircraft and the fire truck have surfaced on social media. In one of the clips, the passenger aeroplanecan be seen colliding with the fire machine coming from the contrary side as it careened down the runway. In another videotape, the aeroplaneis seen catching fire and releasing thick black bank.

As per LATAM Peru, flight LA 2213, covering the Lima- Juliaca route, collided with a fire machine that entered the runway during take- off at Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport. Following the incident, the passenger aeroplanwas predicated and exigency services were rushed to the spot in order to carry out the deliverance operation.

Peru’s health ministry said that 20 passengers were treated in a clinic, and at least two were in serious condition. No passengers and crew members were killed. The ministry further stated that 61 people had been moved to near conventions and hospitals from the Jorge Chavez International Airport. But as per Reuters, it isn’t clear whether this was due to injury or palladium.

Independently, Peru’s President Pedro Castillo expressed condolences to the families of the two firefighters. In a Twitter statement, Mr Castillo said that he was soliciting for the recovery of those injured.

I express my sincere condolences to the cousins of Angel Torres and Nicolas Santa Gadea, stalwart firefighters who failed in the accident that passed at the Jorge Chavez Airport. My studies and my prayers are with them. I supplicate for the recovery of the wounded,” Mr Castillo wrote.presently, according to the airline, the incident is being delved .
