New Delhi: The First Indian Fast Antigen Test Kit in India Named ‘Coviself’ will be available for sale in the next 2-3 days, Pune-based diagnostic company Discovery Solutions announced on Thursday.”It takes 2 minutes to do the test and 15 minutes to get the results,” Director Sujeet Jain has told you before.
MyLab Discovery Solutions has started the delivery kit Mandiri Covid-19 ‘Coviself’. Kits will be sold at pharmacies and online through Flipkart.
In May, Pune-based Firm accepted the ICMR approval for a new fast Rail-Test REAP Kit for Covid-19 which corresponds to its claim, will provide someone’s covid test results in just 15 minutes.
“This test is for its own use. If you test positive through this, there is no need for RT-PCR tests according to ICMR. Every adult can use this kit by reading our manual,” said Director Sujeet Jain to Ani after ICMR nodded.
“It takes 2 minutes to test and 15 minutes to get results. This will be available at the end of next week in more than 7 of our Lakh pharmacies and our online pharmaceutical partners throughout India. Our target will reach 90% PIN code in India,” he added.
Important points to know about coviself:
The test used itself can be used by symptomatic individuals and direct contacts from the confirmed case according to the ICMR guidelines. Users of this test do not require a collection of samples by a health professional.
Each kit will be given all the testing materials, instructions to use leaflets (IFU), and Biohazard bags to safely throw kits after testing.
This test is designed to use using nasal swabs (not in the nasopharyngeal swab in) to reduce discomfort.
Tests combine with mylab cellular applications where users can scan the QR code given on the kit and feed the test results along with it to receive their test reports.
The test results can be submitted to the ICMR directly through the application for tracing.
People who test positive needs to immediately isolate themselves so that they do not infect others. Those who test negatively and continue to experience symptoms such as Covid has been advised to seek advanced care from their health care providers.
Covism has been priced at Rs 250 and will be available in one package, MyLab informs the previous statement.
