The All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi, has conducted research on individuals who tested Covid-19 positive after vaccination and revealed that there was no death. This study was conducted during April-May when the two pandemic waves were at its peak.

Of the 63 individuals – 41 men, 22 females -enrolled in this study, 10 individuals were given a covishield, while 53 received covaxin. 36 people were given two doses, and 27 individuals received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine. The patients aged between 21 and 92 and have no comorbidity.

Viral Load, the size of the total number of virus particles in certain volume of fluid, is high at diagnosis even in vaccinated patients and they also report high temperatures lasting for 5-7 days, similar to symptoms of patients who are not vaccinated.

“Viral Load at a high diagnosis in all patients regardless of vaccination status or the type of vaccine received and the initial course of the disease with high-grade non-remiting fever lasted for five to seven days in the vaccination group, similar to clinical presentations in patients who were not vaccinated, “The report said.

This study found that if there was a breakthrough infection, which was when a person contracted Covid-19 although completely or partially vaccinated, the Covid variant of B.1.617.2 and B.1.1.7 were two variants that were concerned.

“While the level of antibodies for patient subsets is available, they become infected and presented in emergencies such as other patients, by doubting the protection offered and or clinical relevance of the total immunoglobulin G (IgG) instead of Covid-19 immunity,” added the report.
