Head of Pakistani Army General Qamar Javed Bajwa was given an extension on June 2020 by former Prime Minister Imran Khan, five months before he retired. He was appointed to the top post in 2016 at that time Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

During the rally aimed at the leader of PTI Sheikh Rasheed in Punjab, the slogan ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ was sung by the protesters. These slogans seem to be intended for the country’s army.

Pakistani soldiers during the 79th Formation Commander Conference held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi claimed that there was a campaign “Propaganda recently” by several quarters to slander the country’s military, Ani reported.
