4 million in Pakistan

Pakistan has stated an emergency after heavy rain that has flooded the country. Officials said that this year’s floods were comparable to 2010, the worst floods ever in this country. Disasters have affected more than four million people who are helpless in facing the crisis.

Until now 900 people have been killed, including 34 in the last 24 hours. The Pakistani government has appealed to the international community, and has sought assistance for new countries to be registered in the eighth place on the global climate risk index by the Germanwatch Environmental NGO.
